Development of research infrastructure at the Ochota campus

Category: Priority Research Area II

14 projects – out of 46 submitted proposals – will receive funding from the Fund for the Renovation and Development of Research Infrastructure (Action I.4.2. within the framework of Priority Research Area II).

All the submitted proposals were subjected to public consultation. The applicants could modify their projects according to the suggestions expressed by the members of the University community. In the next stage, the proposals were evaluated by the Selection Committee. As a result, the authors of the best proposals were invited to an interview.

The goal of the call was to finance new scientific infrastructure, which will increase the capacity of the University and address the existing needs of various research teams at the Ochota campus. Access to the purchased equipment will be given not only to employees of the unit which received funding. The infrastructure will be available – based on agreed principles – to research teams from other University units.

14 projects selected for funding for a total sum of over 4.6 mln PLN were submitted by the faculties of: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and Regional Studies, and Psychology:

  • Prof. Dr. hab. Renata Bilewicz (Faculty of Chemistry) – PM-IRRA spectrometer for the measurements at the air—solution interface to study the interactions of biologically important species with model cell membranes –  500 000 PLN,
